The American Women’s Association of Bahrain is a vibrant and active women’s group for all nationalities, with approximately 200 members.

Who can join?

• You must be a woman

• You must live in Bahrain

• You must have a Bahrain CPR card (ID card)

If you would like to come meet us and see more of what we do before you decide to join us, you are welcome to attend our events and activities as an AWA Guest at the applicable Guest price. View the membership benefits below to learn the advantages of becoming a member.

Membership Details
Our membership term runs for one year beginning January 1
You will be required to present your CPR upon joining
Membership dues are 60 BD and 55 BD for US Military spouse annually – cash or check is accepted

Membership dues must be paid in person at our monthly general meeting or coffee morning

Meet & Greet Coffee Morning
Join us for our monthly membership Coffee Morning! We welcome returning and new members to join us for coffee, to learn about what the AWA has to offer and to provide help and information to make Bahrain feel like home.

 

Events & Activities
We have a huge range of events and activities available either to members only or to members at a preferential price. Activities include our monthly Gen­eral Meet­ing, our monthly cof­fee morn­ing, spe­cial inter­est activ­i­ties such as the Art Group, Book Club, Craft Group, Com­mu­nity Ser­vice, On-Island Tours, NIA Mindful Dance Class, Bollywood Drama Queens (dancing), Scrabble Club, Golf Clinics, Women of Taste, many of which have monthly, even weekly meetings/​activities. We also have sev­eral excit­ing annual spe­cial events, which need a lot of volunteers through­out the year — the Art Exhi­bi­tion, Fash­ion Show, Spring Bazaar, Cherry Tree Trot and the Snowflake Craft Fair!

Workshops & Trainings

We have teamed up with local companies to offer workshops and trainings for our members. If you are interested in hosting a workshop or training for our members, please reach out to the president to get it scheduled - president@awabahrain.org
